    ]]> The Long distance attract the most number of participants, ca. 800. Number of foreign participating federation is nine and the biggest federation is China which send around 120 participants and most of them are member of school orienteering club. Both Hong Kong and Kazakhstan send around 30-40 participants.

    Exciting races are expected in elite classes. China sends the best female team including Zhu MingYue, Hao Shuangyan, LI Ji, all of whom were placed 7th in the Relay of 2008 World Championships. Male team includes Xue Kezhan, and Li Xiang who got first Asian title in relay two years ago in Korea. Off course, Japan as a host federation sends best team, including current national champion, Hiroyuki Kato and Yoko Bamba.

    Now the bank takes 2,500 yen (lifting charge) and 1,500 yen (remittance charge) = 4,000 yen from the total amount being transfered from overseas.

We have more than 200 participants including around 100 participants from China. Domestic entry so far is around 300 and we expect around 350-400 domestic participants.

    Sugamori primary school

    On site investigation and negotiation among organizer has held between 20th -20th of March together with national controllers.

    The event arena for the Long is Sugamori primary school, which is small with around 10 pupils. The event arena for the Relay is Onikubo Fureai Hiroba, which is used for the WOC 2005 relay. That reminds us of excitement of the WOC Relay.

    As Japanese old saying goes that discussion by three persons produce wiser solution, we found better solution for the Long distance event arena.
